Prerequisites for MOF Application
Both Sdn Bhd and Enterprise (Sole Proprietor / Partnership) firms qualify for MOF registration. Have the following core documents ready for initial verification:

1. Complete SSM Corporate Profile Sdn Bhd: Borang 9, 24, 44, 49 / Section 14, 15, 17, 58. Enterprise: Borang D & Maklumat Perniagaan.

2. Bank Statements (Latest 3 Months) Penyata bank rasmi syarikat yang disahkan bagi membuktikan modal pusingan minima (RM 2,500 untuk Enterprise / RM 10,000+ untuk Sdn Bhd).

3. Premise Tenancy Agreement & Utility Bill Perjanjian sewa premis pejabat yang dimatikan setem atau geran hak milik premis berserta bil utiliti terkini (TNB / Air).

4. Office Premise Photos (Indoor & Outdoor) Gambar luar pejabat (papan tanda nama syarikat) dan dalam pejabat (peralatan kerja & meja operasi).

5. EPF / KWSP Form A & Staff ICs (If Any) Penyata KWSP bulanan terkini bagi staf operasi dan salinan kad pengenalan (IC) pemilik/pengarah.

Can an Enterprise (sole proprietorship) register with MOF and apply for Bumiputera status?
Yes. Both Sole Proprietorships and Partnerships are fully eligible for MOF registration and Bumiputera recognition provided the owner is a Malaysian Bumiputera citizen, possesses a commercial office/premise address, and demonstrates a minimum average current bank balance of RM 2,500 over the past 3 months.
What are the strict requirements to obtain the Sijil Akuan Taraf Bumiputera?
To achieve Bumiputera status, at least 51% of company shares must be held by Bumiputera individuals, the majority of board directors and executive management must be Bumiputera, and bank account signatories must be authorized Bumiputera personnel. A physical premise inspection is routinely conducted by MOF treasury officers.
How long is an MOF registration certificate valid for?
The Ministry of Finance certificate (Sijil Akuan Pendaftaran Syarikat) and Sijil Akuan Taraf Bumiputera are valid for 3 years from the date of approval. Renewal applications can be filed up to 3 months prior to expiry to guarantee uninterrupted government tender eligibility.
Can we add new field codes (Kod Bidang) after our certificate is active?
Yes. You may apply for additional trade codes at any time during the active 3-year term. Depending on the requested code (e.g. security equipment, chemicals, pharmaceutical supplies, or technical services), supporting agency licenses or specialized personnel certificates will be submitted for Treasury approval.
